Okay so first up, I’m finally doing better. I didn’t take any cold medicine this weekend, weaning myself from the evil stuff. I even went to the gym this morning, only using the treadmill to walk on an incline as to not overdue it 🙂

Today I ordered EA Sports Active, a fitness game I’ve had my eye on for awhile now. It can use the Wii balance board that came with Wii Fit, but doesn’t require it (will be interested to see how it uses it). What I’m really excited about is that this game is a real cardio workout, unlike Wii Fit which was more focused on yoga or toning exercises. This thing has dance, cardio boxing and kick boxing. Woot! The boxing part of Wii Fit was the best part of it in my opinion.

The game is set to be released next week. I’ll give you my thoughts. Maybe I’ll make a videoblog review of it!

  1. I’ll be curious to hear what you think of it. I just bought the Jillian Michels workout, but I’m too afraid to get back on the Wii Fit (its been quite awhile).

    Glad you’re feeling better.

  2. Randy and I just saw a commercial for this and are thinking about getting it. It’s so hard to get your hands on a Wii fit. I like to switch things up with my workouts anyway. :0)

Becky, I would love to hear what you think about Jillian’s. I’ve thought about it but haven’t done it. I’ve got a Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVD that I’ve been using and like, but again, I like to switch things up. :0)

  3. Having said that, just found it on Amazon for $89 and ordered it. Wii fit is geared more towards the things I’m looking for. I don’t have any room for kickboxing, which is unfortunate because it’s something I’m interested in. Ah well, can’t have it all.

  4. Yeah I was going to say, you should be able to find it online 🙂 Wii fit is very much yoga and toning, but I really wanted cardio. That’s why I’m trying EA Active.

  5. Yoga soothes me, and I need to tone. I love cardio too, but that Biggest Loser dvd is killer. It also has cardio kickboxing, but I can’t do that without taking out my tv. It’s a new tv. It’s pretty. It’s been nice to me. I don’t want to hurt it. Not yet. Give it a couple of years. ;0)
