I realized I hadn’t updated my “dreams” blog category in ages. Lately I’ve been having some doozies, which I should post about since I don’t seem to be finding much inspirations elsewhere. I do have that farm video blog I promised though, I haven’t forgotten!

Well I thought I’d share this one as it was just bizarre. I honestly didn’t remember it until a day or two later when I was taking a run. I saw a cigarette pack on the ground (damn litterbugs) and it all came back to me. I remember having a dream where I smoked. More than that I remembered the physical sensations of what it was like to smoke: the taste and the feel. This shocked me more than anything, because I’ve never smoked! I’ve never even tried a cigarette! Growing up I had friends with parents who smoked and I couldn’t stay more than an hour in the house without getting headaches. I suffer migraines, which came on when I hit my teens, so clearly smoking wasn’t something I ever felt the need to take on. To this day I can’t stand smelling like cigarette smoke from bars and what not. I will shower when I get home before going to bed to get the smell off me. This dream was one of those whoa, past life experience moments.

  1. Once I was vacationing in Florida, I had a dream where I was holding a cigar, and I found myself puffing away with it. I could even feel it, and I could even smell the strong smell from it. Well when I finally woke up I smelled actual smoke, wasn’t sure if maybe I slept walked and smoked an actual cigar or not,no ashtrays around so couldn’t have been me. Walked outside and it was someone in the next room smoking one.

  2. I quit smoking back in 2002 and haven’t picked up a cigarette since! However, I dream about smoking at least once a week. In the daytime, I can’t STAND the smell or being around the smoke, but apparently in my dreams it’s another story! At least I’m not getting the real cancer in my dreams…hehe

  3. I had a dream that I called this girl I know from high school the C-word. I hadn’t seen her in a long time, we’re not especially close, so it was weird for me to have a dream about her. In the dream, she got her husband all his buddies to come after me for calling her that.

A few days later I found out that she had lost her baby (in her 2nd term of the pregnancy)… wtf!!

  4. Odd dream. I never could stand smoking. Both my parents smoked and they both died of lung cancer.

I get less and less tolerant of smokers as I age. They are so uncaring about where they blow their smoke and throw their filthy cigarette butts. Blech.

  5. Dreams in which you find yourself doing something you would never do, or able to do something that you actually can’t do in waking life, are so strange, aren’t they? As you say, it’s as if it’s a memory from another life. Wild.
