No no, not from a hangover. Oh lord, I currently have no desire to touch alcohol for a long time! Shannan and Nica got off on Sunday morning, and I used Sunday to catch up on some much needed sleep. They were only here for a few days, but it seemed longer than that . . . yet at the same time not long enough. Unfortunately it seems when they left, they took the nice weather with them. The temperature has gone down to the teens and we got snow flurries today, now it’s turned to sleet and is icing up everything outside. Not fun!

Only 2 days till the V-day. Anyone doing anything fun? Special? I just made reservations at a local restaurant we like for that evening. If there was anything to see movie wise we’d go, but nothing seems that interesting. Okay there are things I’d see, but I don’t think he’d like them much. Probably not very romantic to see a horror movie or thriller on Valentines Days honestly. Plus I think it’s a Big Brother night! Have to get home for that.

Let’s see, what else to go over? Oh awhile ago I blogged about a big decision I was sitting on. Well I’ll have a blog about what it was soon. It’s written actually, I’m just waiting to post it. The news has been leaking out some, so some might know about it, others might not. Some might care, others of you might not 🙂

  1. YAY! Tonight is the big night!! BB premiers! I’m putting the kids to bed early and going to pop some popcorn! Sorry your friends couldn’t stay longer, but it seems you had a great time and what is it that they say about company and fish? Oh! I kid, I kid! As far a V-day, not doing anything big, hubby has to work that night- yuck! But we will try to go out to dinner later in the month when all the maddness has died down.

  2. I guess you can tell how long people have been together by the way they celebrate V-day.
My daughter is making her bf a romantic dinner, getting him a card, and candy. They have been dating 11 months.
My son and his wife went out to dinner last week for a early V-day celebration, no gifts, no cards, no candy. They have been married 4 years.
My husband told me, Buy yourself a candy bar baby and while you’re at it get me one to. Stand back ladies, he’s all mine, LOL. We have been married 29 years this March 31st. I can remember when I got flowers, candy, cards, and gifts. But truthfully I act like I get mad but I could care less that he doesn’t get me anything because then I don’t have to get him anything. Plus money is tight.

  3. PS…… I’m very curious, can’t wait to hear about the big decision.
    Marriage ceremony?
    Kids?
    New job?
    Moving?
    Told you I was curious.

  4. I have to be at work at 3am on V-day, so no going out for hubby and me. Maybe one night later in the month. Hope you and the BF have a good time going out to eat. As far as your big decision blog….hurry up:) People are dying of curiosity to know (meaning me). Your above comment makes it even more torturous:)

  5. I’m really excited to hear about your news!!

DH and I just celebrated V-Day this past weekend, since he’s on the road driving the big rig all week long and won’t be home tomorrow. I surprised him with a weekend getaway, and we had a great time. We’ve been married for over 11 years (together for about 13) and some years, we don’t really acknowledge V Day LOL. But this year, I decided to go all out since I am actually making a little extra money right now, and since we haven’t done anything for just the two of us in a long time. Oh..and I don’t see anything wrong with seeing a horror flick on V-Day! If it’s something you would both enjoy, then do it! 🙂

  6. V-Day? What’s V-Day? LOL I guess you are right Boo1. I’ve been married 38 years. The fact that we are still together and he cooks me dinner every night and I clean up and we still care about each other every day tells me more than roses or candy, or even diamonds on V-Day.
