Tomorrow is voting day and do you know what the best thing about that is? No more fricken political commercials! It seems with each election these commercials become nastier and nastier. I wish I could just block them with the v-chip installed in my TV.

  1. Here in NYC/NYS there are few hotly contested races, so few commercials — mostly spillover ads from NJ.

Yay for only lethargic democracy! 😉

  2. Some are actually humerous. But then again it gets to the point where you can watch so many and then get sick and tired of them. :O)

  3. oh, i don’t even know what the candidates for senate here in jersey stand for, all they are running are smear campains. i cannot wait for it to be over. today i had two phone calls before 10am for campaining!

  4. The campaigns here have been ugly, with some hotly adversarial races. Lieberman vs. Lamont has caught national attention, mainly because of Lieberman’s prior vice-presidential candidacy. But they are by no means the only close campaigns with nasty ads here. I think I should throw a party tomorrow night just to celebrate the end of it all, except for the fact that I suspect at least one result will be contested.

  5. I have all but stoped answering my phone because of the recorded calls, my machine fends those off, usually there is a hang up, but from time to time I get half of a recording. I can’t wait for the polls to close and some news to start rolling in though.
Note to Aravis: Lieberman is not just in the public eye because of his prior candidacy, but rather because politically he has come out as a republican in democrat/independant clothing.
