I think I am never going to get a day to kick back and relax unless I go somewhere without my PC. I really wanted to make this a me day, it didn’t happen. First I decided to do some cleaning this morning and pull out some books and articles I need to write up my conference paper.

By time that was all done I had to watch the soaps.

After I got the soaps done I realized I really needed to go to the store, we were low on just about everything.

By time I got home I realized “It’s Thursday! That means “The O.C.!” Fortunately Fox has it online on myspace, I watched it and did it.

Through the whole day I’ve been outlining my conference paper in my head. Not excactly what I wanted on my mind all day.

It’s now 7:30pm. Where did my day go? I’m sitting here going through email until “Ugly Betty” and “Grey’s Anatomy” start. That will probably be the beginning of the me day.

Fortunately I do have an invite out tomorrow night i can go to. I’m going to meet some friends for dinner and drinks in the city. I was trying to arrange a night out for Saturday, but it looks like it might be another no go. Grrr.

  1. I dont even know what a ‘day for me’ feels like….

Then again I should shut up now, as in May/June I will be job searching and doing nothing but that…..hoo-ray

  2. I don’t know what a “free day” is like myself. With classes, homework, the computer, my blog, other blogs, I can’t do soaps any more – too much drama, and Must see TV every night, where does one find the time to just be “quiet?”

I guess you need to find a forest with a cabin with no electricity or phones then maybe you will get that “day to yourself.” I hear they have forests just outside Montreal, although I’ve only been out there a few times in the last 5 years…

    It’s always something… right?

    *laughs out loud*

  3. That’s what usually happens to me: one thing after another until the day is gone.

I have a theory about Fey on Ugly Betty. I think she’s actually in the offices posing as a certain someone, but I won’t say more for now. I love Selma Hayak’s new role on the show. Very funny! *G*
