I test drove zero, yes zero cars today!

Let’s start at the beginning of this miserable failure of a day. Woke up at 6am and couldn’t get back to sleep, combination of being hungry and being excited. Did some web page work, went back to sleep between about 9:00 and 10:00 am. Woke back up, uh-oh, major web page problem. Long story short I had to go in and edit 271 web page files. I could have ignored it but I knew if I did I’d be getting more emails. I figured my entire day was shot, I was not in a good mood. To top it off my stomach was acting up and I hadn’t eaten much at all because of it.

I got half done and then got fed up and closed the summary archives where the second half of the files to be fixed were. Emily and I headed out about 2:30 to Honda to check out the fit. We couldn’t find any on the lot, which was huge. There was 1, 1 Honda Fit in front of the dealer building which was the one to be test driven. Figures it was a stick, I can’t drive a stick. Maybe the automatic was out with someone. I’m in a piss poor mood and decide I’m not waiting around an hour to be helped. The dealership was packed, something I did not expect on a rainy Saturday. Then again, all the dealers in the area aren’t open on Sundays. To me that is the dumbest business move a car dealer can make, I would think working people would buy cars on the weekend!

Emily had to get home, Jen had to bail, I wasn’t even bothering dealing with Toyota by myself or at all at this point. So here I sit, I haven’t test driven anything, I don’t have a car still. Damn I’m pissed! We did check out the fit, looked inside and all. It is very cute! I like it a lot, it has a nice roomy cargo area and everything. Now I just have to find the time and someone to test drive a car.

At this rate I’ll have a car sometime next year.

*** I have decided to put off going home to Va till later in the week. I am going to cancel my dentist appointment on Tuesday, car shop Monday and then reschedule it Tuesday morning either later in the week or the week after. I might still be able to get to Va by the end of this week and if I’m lucky I’ll do so with a new car 🙂
