I had written a lengthy post about the wonderful neighbors, but I decided not to post it because it would make me as trashy as I perceive them to be. Instead I’ll just try and put the webcam on them tomorrow 🙂

I spent part of today car shopping on the net, reading reviews and talking to people. It looks like it’s coming down to Chrysler’s PT Cruiser or Toyota’s Rav 4. I was considering the Toyota Matrix and Kia Spectra 5 as well, but the reviews were so-so and I just didn’t really love them. Consumer Reports gives the PT high marks and recommends it. They didn’t have a review online for the new Rav 4, but the old ones all aced their tests and a used Rav 4 was given a “Good Bet” recommendation. I’ll have to check the hard copies of the magazines I have back in Jersey. I know Toyota redesigned the Rav 4 in 2006 to compete with Honda and others.

As Miss Vida Boheme once said, “It looks like it will come down to that age old question: style or substance?”

I hope to buy SOMETHING this summer when the 2007s come out and the 2006s go on sale. I know the safe bet is the Rav 4, but I like the PT way more because it’s so fun. I’m usually responsible and practical, so I’ll probably end up with the Rav 4 unless the wild side wins out.

I rented “When A Stranger Calls” (The remake). I already know I will be disappointed, but oh well. It was five bucks compared to paying ten to watch it in the theater amidst annoying children, people talking to the movie and people talking on their cell phones. I’m about to go watch it now.

I also picked up a copy of “New Super Mario Brothers” for the Nintendo DS. Oh My Gosh! Run out and buy this game, it’s great! It is like the original Mario Bros. on the NES but on steroids. Seriously it’s fun, you won’t regret it.

Tonight I watched a full episode of “American Idol” for the first time all season. I don’t get the excitement over this show at all. The only AI who has actually done anything big past one album is Kelly Clarkson. She seems to keep getting bigger and bigger (as a star I mean). Oh and Ryan Seacrest looks terrible with all that scruff on his face.

Tomorrow I have the pleasure of going to the dentist. Ack! I missed my fall check-up, so it’s been a year since I’ve been. I’m not looking forward to this, I know I’m going to need work done. Even if I have no cavities (which I doubt!) I know I need to have some older fillings replaced. Waaaaaa!
